Safety Practices
The Nailtel is committed to providing the safest and most seamless nail salon experience possible for our clients and employees. Here are the policies and procedures we implement to ensure everyone feels safe and well-cared for.
Medical-Grade Sanitation Practices
While disinfecting tools with a chemical agent such as barbicide is a standard and required practice in nail salons, The Nailtel goes above and beyond with a multi-step, medical-grade disinfecting routine. After every service, all non-disposable tools go through the following process to ensure the best and absolute safest sanitation.
Hot water and antibacterial soap scrub
Barbicide disinfecting soak
Hospital-grade Ritter M9D autoclave steam sterilization
Using an autoclave kills 100 percent of all infective organisms. However, autoclaves—machines used to sterilize equipment and supplies using high pressure and steam—are only currently required by law in nail salons in three states (Texas, New York and Iowa). We’re holding ourselves to these highest of standards, even if we don’t have to.
AirSoap Air Purifier
As a precaution against airborne viruses and salon-related aromas, we use a state-of-the art air purifier in our main salon space. AirSoap is a revolutionary new air purifier technology that kills and captures even the smallest viruses HEPA filters can’t. AirSoap’s Electric Wind Technology™ generates a high-energy plasma field that kills bacteria and viruses and polarizes airborne particles.
While AirSoap has been certified to capture particles down to 14nm, they have not performed testing specifically on SARS-COV-2 (the pathogen responsible for COVID-19), as it is not yet available for testing. However, AirSoap has been tested and proven to kill >99.99% of an even smaller virus (Influenza A-H3N2).
